At Aubiose Animal Care, all our products share one thing in common: they are made from hemp cultivated and processed in France by La Chanvrière, an agricultural cooperative founded in 1973. No imports, no middlemen, no chemical treatments. Our range covers all types of pets and farm animals: from sport horses to indoor cats, as well as rodents, rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens. Whatever the species, hemp meets the same rigorous standards: high absorption, minimal fine dust, and natural end-of-life degradation.

Our equine beddings are available in two formulas: the Classic version, economical and ultra-absorbent, ideal for daily stall use; and the Eucalyptus version, enriched with natural eucalyptus extracts for extra freshness and horses with respiratory issues. Both formats offer the same performance: absorption 3 times higher than straw, virtually zero dust, and rapidly compostable manure.

Why is hemp oil ideal for horses?

Hemp oil is extracted by cold-pressing hemp seeds, the seeds of industrial hemp. This extraction method preserves all the fatty acids and micronutrients naturally present in the seed, without the use of heat or chemical solvents.

Hemp has an exceptional lipid profile, with an omega-6 to omega-3 ratio of close to 3:1, which is considered optimal for equine nutrition. This balanced ratio, which is difficult to achieve with other vegetable oils, makes hemp oil a valuable nutritional supplement to support the horse’s overall health.

Hemp oil and omega-3: benefits for horse health

Omega-3 fatty acids play a central role in many biological functions in horses, including cell membrane integrity, the inflammatory response, and the quality of the coat and hooves. A regular intake of high-quality omega-3s helps maintain good overall physical condition and supports recovery after exercise.

The modern horse diet — hay, pellets and concentrated feeds — is often high in omega-6 and low in omega-3. Aubiose hemp oil helps naturally rebalance this ratio, without the need for synthetic supplements.

Supporting the horse’s immune system with Aubiose hemp oil

The essential fatty acids found in hemp oil contribute to the normal functioning of the horse’s immune system. This benefit is not related to CBD or any active cannabinoid. Our oil is produced from hemp varieties with a THC content of <0.2%, in accordance with European regulations. The hemp base of this bedding retains the same absorption capacity as the classic Aubiose range, absorbing up to 4 times its volume. Adding eucalyptus does not affect this performance: it enhances the experience rather than replacing it.

Eucalyptus, for a fresher stable environment

Eucalyptus is known for its fresh, cleansing fragrance. Combined with hemp, it helps create a more pleasant atmosphere in the stable, both for the horse and the person caring for it.

Low-dust bedding for horses with sensitive airways

Like the entire Aubiose range, this bedding is mechanically dust-extracted three times, resulting in a dust level of less than 0.1%. This is important for comfort in the stable, particularly for horses whose airways require extra care.
